What is a Milestone Session ... 3, 6, 9, 12 months and beyond!
Milestone sessions are all about celebrating the little (and not so little) stages of your littles life. You know, the big ones, sitting up, first birthday, or those chubby legs taking their first steps. But they don't stop at the first year! I love to capture all the unique phases of childhood - toddlers to preteens. Each of these moments deserve to be documented, because they are the ones you will have to look back on and cherish most when your little is suddenly not so little anymore.
Why Book a Professional Milestone Session? ... why hire a photographer when you've got a camera roll of phone pics? Your everyday snaps are priceless, but professional milestone sessions are a whole different ballgame.
1- Details matter - milestone sessions allow us to get those perfect timeless moments you will treasure for years to come. The perfect lighting, thoughtful posing, those angles that highlight the sweet essence of who your little is at that very moment.
2- quality over quantity - Sure, you can take 100 photos in 5 minutes (we have all been there). but wouldn't it be nice to have a few perfect ones to frame and hang so you can view for years to come?
3 to 4 months - These sessions your little is laying on their back wiggling around with those large smiles (sometimes even rolling over), and tummy time pushing up onto hands/elbows
6 months - half birthday sessions best capture babies sitting, but before they are pulling to walk or crawl. I have a few tricks to help with the sitting - but always allow flexibility to move your session closer to 7 months if needed.
9 months - this can be one of the most difficult sessions to capture. Sometimes stranger danger has kicked in, and they know how to crawl to mama. We capture those cute standing while holding onto something and don't forget those super cute stare down moments.
12 months - ONE! Full of personality and smiles. Classic and timeless capturing the first greatest milestone of your little's journey
Every Year - Milestones are not just for the first year! Capturing your little in a session at ages 2,3,4 and beyond is a great way to see their personality shine. Let them pick their backdrop or outfit and let's see what their amazing imaginations come up with!
